Magdalene May Bumps

Magdalene Boat Club have eight crews out on the river this year competing in the May Bumps. Just before the excitement and drama of May Week, the May Bumps are the last set of inter-collegiate boat races of the academic year.

In the Men's races, Magdalene has five crews competing, the Men’s 1st VIII have achieved a club record winning streak, with 13 “bumps” in the last 20 outings, rising to 5th place in the current standings. The men's crews will start in the following divisions and places:

M1 - Division 1, 5th place
M2 - Division 3, 6th place
M3 - Division 5, 2nd place
M4 - Division 5, 5th place
M5 - Division 5, 15th place
M6 - Division 6, 5th place

Magdalene has two crews competing in the Women's races starting in the following divisions and places:

W1 - Division 2, 5th place
W2 - Division 4, 12th place

Divisions will race every afternoon from Wednesday 12 June until the final afternoon of racing on Saturday 15 June, division times can be found on the Cambridge University Combined Boat Clubs website and you can keep up to date with the action as it unfolds live on CamFM.

Magdalene Marquee

Dont forget Magdalene Boat Club, the Mallory Club and the Alumni and Development Office invite all Alumni, Members and their guests to come and cheer on the Magdalene crews at this year's May Bumps Marquee on Saturday 15 June.

Located on Caius Meadow (close to Fen Ditton) there will be Pimm's, snacks, a punt to get across the river from the tow path to the meadows and of course lots of exciting bumps racing.

The afternoon is free to attend and all Magdalene students, Fellows, staff and their families are welcome. Please come and give our crews your support.
