Magdalene provides many benefits for its fantastic alumni community.
Members wishing to visit are asked to check in at the Porters Lodge upon arrival.
Magdalene Members are always welcome in College. Alumni are welcome to bring their families to walk around the gardens, visit the Chapel and the Pepys Library.
Please note it will not be possible to visit the New Library during Easter Term due to examinations taking place.
Please check in at the Porters Lodge on arrival, and do drop into the Alumni & Development Office in Mallory A if you have the time.
Visiting The New Library
The New Library is open to Members of Magdalene College only. Alumni are welcome to visit the New Library Monday-Friday 10am-12pm and 2-4pm. If you would like to visit, please email email@example.com. The New Library is closed to non-resident Members during Easter Term (April - June).
MA Dining Privileges
Dining at High Table
Members who hold their M.A. Cantab, or after three years, non-MAs Members with a qualifying degree (for example, LLM, MMath, MPhil, PhD), can dine on High Table up to three times a year free of charge.
Members can exercise their MA Dining Privileges on Fridays during Easter Term providing a Fellow is present. If you wish to book to dine on High Table please contact the Alumni & Development Office.
We regret that Members are not permitted to bring a guest on these occasions but can bring one guest (for which they will be asked to pay) to one of our dedicated Non-resident Members' nights. Please note that guests must be 21 or over.
Non-resident Members' (NRM) Nights
Many Members choose to use their MA Dining Privileges at one of the specially organised NRM Nights held twice a term. These are very popular and often book up far in advance. NRM Nights are free for Members exercising their dining rights but there is a standard High Table charge of £36.00 for guests.
We will endeavour to publish the available dates for NRM Nights for the academic year 2022-23 as soon as we are able to do so.
Dining at Low Table
Dining at Low Table is not available during Easter Term. We hope to welcome Members back to Low Table in the new academic year.
