All Congregation ceremonies scheduled from April 2020 onwards have been postponed following the Vice-Chancellor’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) announcement on Wednesday 18th March 2020.
The College appreciates that many students and their guests will have been looking forward to graduating and will be disappointed not to be able to attend a ceremony. As the Vice-Chancellor has said, we are facing an unprecedented crisis and must respond accordingly. The Praelector’s Secretary will be in touch with all Members who had previously applied to graduate on Saturday 25th April 2020, Saturday 16th May 2020 and Friday 17th July 2020 to provide further information.

Graduation is an opportunity to celebrate your academic success with your friends, family, and guests.
General Admission normally takes place in late June for those expecting to graduate with one of the following degrees, M.Eng., M.Math., M.Sci., Vet.M.B., B.A., B.Th.
Ceremonies for the conferral of other degrees are held throughout the year; however, not all ceremonies are available for you to graduate in person.
General Admission is the ceremony at which most undergraduates proceed to their first Degree at the end of their final term. Graduands from Magdalene College will be presented in the Senate House on Friday 26 June 2020.

Congregation Dates 2019-20
The following is a list of dates of congregations at which higher degrees may be conferred. Whether you choose to graduate in person or in absence you will need to complete the appropriate application form at least three weeks prior to your chosen ceremony.
If you choose to graduate in person at the Senate House, you are required to wear academical dress at the Graduation Ceremony. Please read the following details carefully, the Proctors have given notice that anyone inappropriately dressed will not be allowed to proceed to their degree that day.
MA Day 2020
If you hold a Cambridge B.A. you may proceed to the M.A. not less than six years from the end of your first term of residence, providing that you have held your B.A. degree for at least two years. M.A. Day 2020 will be held on Saturday 16 May 2020.
