
Old Library and College Archives
Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, the Old Library is closed to all visitors, researchers and non-resident Members. Research enquiries are welcomed via email, pepyslibrary@magd.cam.ac.uk.
The College Archives are closed until further notice due to relocating the collection. Therefore, it may not be possible to fulfil all research enquiries, but staff will to their utmost to help by emailing archivist@magd.cam.ac.uk.
The Old Library, which is distinct from the Pepys Library, is Magdalene’s collection of rare books and manuscripts which has evolved throughout the history of the College. The Old Library also currently houses the College Archives, which comprise the historical records of the College, including the College’s institutional and estate records and personal papers of former and current Fellows and students.

The College Archives
The College Archives aim to provide a record of the College as an institution, as well as of its current and former Members. The Archives holds records dating from the sixteenth century up to the present day.
