Ice Age Islanders - How insularity shapes human brains and behaviour
Join Magdalene Bye-Fellow Dylan Gaffney for a fascinating talk on human adaptation entitled Ice Age islanders - How insularity shapes human brains and behaviour.
Dylan is currently studying towards a PhD, directing a field project in an archaeologically uncharted island group off the western coast of New Guinea. His work seeks to unlock the dynamics of how Stone Age seafarers dispersed from Southeast Asia to the Pacific, as our species moved out of Africa and into new and challenging environments such as equatorial rainforests and small islands for the first time.
