Telephone Campaign - thank you!

We would like to send out our warmest thanks to all of our Members who chose to make a gift during the recent Telephone Campaign.

Your generosity and willingness to support your College will truly make a difference to the lives of our students and future Magdalene Members. 

We are proud to report that this was the most successful telethon in recent years, with over £361,000 raised in just two weeks. The funds donated by our alumni to funds ranging from student support including student welfare and mental health to the restoration of the unique Pepys Building will have a significant impact on our ability to provide financial support to students in need thus ensuring that the brightest and best are able to study at Magdalene. The donations will also allow us to maintain our facilities to the highest standards and to continue to upgrade them for the benefit of all resident members. Every gift, however modest, has a positive impact on our community.

The Telephone Campaign is a vital part of the College's regular fundraising programme, and we are grateful for the time you took to speak with our student callers, who spoke with over 1,000 alumni from 40 countries during the campaign. The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to speak with so many Members and hear their Magdalene stories, whilst also learning from those who went before them as so many of you provided fantastic life and career advice. Clearly,  many of you enjoyed speaking with the callers as some of them were offered internships and work experience opportunities. I hope you will agree that they make excellent ambassadors for the College and the success of the telethon is testament to the enduring connection between Magdalene students, past and present. 

We hope you share our pride in what we have achieved with your help and we are truly humbled by your support: once again, thank you for your generosity.
