What is the best thing about Magdalene?

The lovely people I have met here.

Going out for a run on Jesus Green, or painting in the evenings.

What do you most like about Cambridge in general?

It is a beautiful place to live and study, and I never have time to be bored.

What made you choose Magdalene?

I am actually one of the rare students who did an open application, so I could have ended up anywhere. Had I picked a college, I would have wanted one that is small, central an traditional. I was very lucky to land at Magdalene.

Describe Magdalene in three words.

Charming, challenging, home.

Why did you choose to study your course?

I loved studying criminal law at A-level, and was very inspired by lawyers like Helena Kennedy and Gareth Peirce.

What is your favourite food?

I love all food! If I had to pick, maybe aubergine parmigiana.

What is your favourite book?

Lenny Bruce is Dead - Jonathan Goldstein.

Ollie

The integration between years makes a huge difference and creates a really nice College atmosphere.

I started to enjoy language and its intricacies through school level philosophy and felt this degree would both satisfy and feed my interest in language whilst giving me a fairly unique skill set with which to potentially return to philosophy.

King Rat by James Clavell
