Magdalene College Residential 2026

Applications are open for the Magdalene College Residential, which will take place from 7 to 10 April 2026.

The residential is open to Year 12 students from state maintained schools in Merseyside and the Isle of Man. The four day programme offers students an opportunity to experience academic life at the University of Cambridge. Participants stay in Magdalene College accommodation and take part in subject workshops and seminars led by university staff. The programme also includes visits to Cambridge libraries and museums, opportunities to speak with current Magdalene undergraduate students, and information about the university application process.

Places on the residential are limited and the programme is expected to be oversubscribed. Selection is based on academic potential alongside widening participation considerations.

Applications are encouraged from students who have faced barriers to accessing higher education, including those from underrepresented backgrounds or who would be the first in their family to attend university. Applying for or attending the residential has no bearing on any future application to Magdalene College or the University of Cambridge.
