Online Events

Magdalene College regularly hosts free online events for students attending state schools in the UK.

These online events are designed to support students in making a competitive application to university, with sessions ranging from picking a course to interview support. The support and advice will be relevant to students applying to academically competitive universities across the UK, including, but not limited to, the University of Cambridge.

Annual Webinar Series

Information and opportunities to ask questions about various aspects of the university application process.

Webinars are open to students attending state-maintained schools in the UK. Some webinars may have additional eligibility criteria (e.g., by year group).

All sessions will take place on Zoom from 17:00-18:00. All webinars will be recorded and made available on the Magdalene College website after the sessions, however, we would encourage students to attend live to have the opportunity to contribute questions.

Subject Taster Webinars

Our online Subject Taster webinars have now concluded for this academic year. These sessions, led by Magdalene College Fellows, offered students the chance to explore a range of Cambridge subjects through lecture-style presentations and interactive discussions modelled on Cambridge supervisions.

We’re pleased that so many students joined us for this year’s series, and we hope the sessions provided valuable insight into degree-level study and the Cambridge teaching experience.
