Magdalene History Dinner 2026

The Master, History Fellows, and Development Director are delighted to invite current and former students of History, and their guests, to the Magdalene History Dinner on Saturday 7 February 2026. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to return to dine at Magdalene, to share the experience of dining in Hall with a guest, to meet current students studying History, or to arrange an informal reunion amongst friends who read History.

Attendees will enjoy pre-dinner drinks in Benson Hall before a four-course black-tie dinner with Fellows' wines in Magdalene's wonderful candlelit Hall.

Programme

Date: Saturday 7 February 2026

Time: 6.45 pm: Drinks in Benson Hall; 7.30 pm: Dinner in Hall

Dress Code: Black Tie

Cost

Tickets are £85 per person for alumni and guests, or £100 to include a donation, which will go towards subsidising the event for current students. Tickets include pre-dinner drinks, followed by a four-course meal with Fellows' wines and port.

We would be most grateful if alumni would consider opting for the higher ticket price of £100, which includes a £15 donation to assist us in reducing the cost for current students to attend. Your support is most appreciated.

Accommodation

We regret that we are not able to offer accommodation on this occasion as this event is taking place during term and current students are in residence.
