International Postgraduate Students at Magdalene
International Postgraduates
Magdalene is an international community attracting the brightest and best postgraduate students from across the world.
More than half of Magdalene’s postgraduate students come from outside the UK, contributing to our vibrant international community. Across the University, nearly 8,000 international students represent over 120 different countries.
We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries, including funding for students from southern Africa, Southeast Asia, and North America.
Magdalene is also one of four Colleges able to recommend eligible students from Southeast Asia for Jardine Foundation postgraduate funding. Visit the Postgraduate Scholarships and Bursaries for more details about postgraduate financial support.
For international postgraduates, the University provides guidance on visas and academic qualifications through the International Students Office and Postgraduate Study International Students website.
For new international postgraduates arriving at Magdalene, we provide a range of welcome events and orientation activities to help you to settle into the College quickly and comfortably. Many of these are organised by the Middle Combination Room (MCR), the College's central society run specifically for and by our postgraduate students.
A wide range of additional international events and support is provided by academic departments, the University's International Students Office, and the Graduate Union.
