The Best Way to Experience Student Life at Cambridge Is to Visit in Person
Visits to Cambridge
Magdalene welcomes school groups throughout the year, prioritising those from our Link Areas—Merseyside, North Wales, and the Isle of Man. To request a visit, email access@magd.cam.ac.uk. Please note that we are unable to host school visits during the exam period (May–June).
What to expect from a visit
Visits can provide a general introduction to Cambridge or focus on a specific subject area. A typical visit includes:
- a tailored presentation by the Schools Liaison Officer
- a Q&A with current students
- lunch provided by the College
- a tour of Magdalene College
- free time to explore the city, visit a museum or another College, or attend a university event
Please contact the Schools Liaison Officer with questions and for more information on how to get the most out of your visit.
Accommodation and Transport
Magdalene is one of the smaller Cambridge Colleges, so overnight accommodation for school groups is only available for Residentials and during the University Open Days in July. Visitors will also need to arrange their own transport to Cambridge.
