The best way to experience student life at Cambridge is to visit in person.
Visits to Cambridge
Magdalene welcomes school groups, prioritising those from our Link Areas of Merseyside, North Wales, and the Isle of Man.
To arrange a visit, please contact us by email at access@magd.cam.ac.uk, including your preferred dates, the size of your group, and any specific requirements you may have. We will do our best to accommodate requests and will confirm availability once we have received your enquiry.
Please be aware that we are unable to host visits during the University examination period, which runs from May to June. We encourage you to get in touch well in advance so that we can help plan a visit at a suitable time.
What to expect from a visit
Visits can provide a general introduction to Cambridge or focus on a specific subject area. A typical visit includes:
- a tailored presentation by the Schools Liaison Officer
- a Q&A with current students
- lunch provided by the College
- a tour of Magdalene College
- free time to explore the city, visit a museum or another College, or attend a university event
Please contact the Schools Liaison Officer with questions and for more information on how to get the most out of your visit.
Accommodation and Transport
Magdalene is one of the smaller Cambridge Colleges, so overnight accommodation for school groups is only available for Residentials and during the University Open Days in July. Visitors will also need to arrange their own transport to Cambridge.
