Dr Peter Bolgar is Director of Studies in Chemistry at Magdalene.
Dr Peter Bolgar is an organic chemist with a special interest in physical organic chemistry and supramolecular chemistry. After completing his PhD degree at the University of Cambridge, he now focuses on teaching chemistry in higher education.
Besides his position at Magdalene College, he is a Fellow and College Lecturer in Chemistry at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. Dr Bolgar is a member of the UK Chemistry Olympiad Committee, and he mentors students for the International Chemistry Olympiad both nationally and internationally. Previously he was a Lecturer (Teaching) in the Department of Chemistry at UCL. He is an avid amateur meteorologist, always on the lookout for interesting atmospheric phenomena.
