New Malaysian Scholarship Launched
Magdalene College, Cambridge is pleased to announce the launch of a new fully-funded scholarship for Malaysian students. The YH2 Capital Scholarship programme is being generously funded by the co-founders of YH2 Capital Management in Singapore, one of whom is a Magdalene Member.
The programme offers one fully-funded Undergraduate Scholarship each year to study at Magdalene. The Scholarship selection committee are looking to support an outstanding Malaysian candidate with exemplary academic and personal qualities.
The Scholarship will not impose any bond on the Scholar, with the recipient free to choose their place of residency and career post-graduation. The key objective of the Scholarship is to support Malaysian students lacking financial means and opportunity to not only attend Cambridge University, but also to subsequently pursue their career without constraints.
Malaysian students studying overseas, especially those on ASEAN scholarships studying in Singapore, are welcome to apply for the Scholarship. In order to be eligible, applicants must be a citizen of Malaysia and have received a conditional undergraduate offer to study one of the accepted Scholarship subjects at Magdalene College. The value of the Scholarship will be assessed on an individual basis; the College will take into account the candidate’s income from all sources and a partial scholarship may be awarded.
Applications opened on 1 September 2019 and must be submitted by Friday 28 February 2020, 23:59 SGT. The successful applicant will be announced when their conditional offer of a place at Magdalene is confirmed in late August.
