Dr David Hoyle (1988) installed as 39th Dean of Westminster

The College congratulates the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle (1988) on his installation as Dean of the Collegiate Church of St Peter Westminster, better known as Westminster Abbey.

Dr Hoyle served as Magdalene's Chaplain from 1988 to 1995 and later as Dean of Chapel, and his time here is remembered with great fondness by all who worked with him and experienced his spiritual guidance. His contributions to the College's life, both within the Chapel and beyond, left a lasting impact on the Magdalene community.

As he takes on the important role of spiritual leader at Westminster Abbey, we offer our heartfelt wishes for his continued success and leadership in this historic and prominent institution, a beacon of faith at the heart of the nation.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Hoyle back to Magdalene on Sunday, 24 November, when he will return to preach at Choral Evensong at 6 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear him speak again, and all are warmly invited to attend.
