Magdalene College Dunbarney Fellows
Dunbarney Fellows
Dunbarney Fellowship in Archaeology.
The Dunbarney Fellowship is a Visiting Fellowship in Archaeology at Magdalene College, Cambridge and the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research. Held for one term each year, it brings distinguished scholars to the College in recognition of long-standing academic and historical links.
The Fellowship is open to scholars from Africa, honouring the connection to Nelson Mandela, Honorary Fellow of Magdalene, and the Jennifer Ward Oppenheimer Professorship of African Archaeology; to scholars from Italy, reflecting the College’s partnership with the British School at Rome; and to scholars from the University of Michigan, USA, in recognition of the Power Scholarship which connected Magdalene and Ann Arbor for many years.
