Mathematics Open Day

Open Day for students interested in studying Mathematics or Mathematics with Physics.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Mathematics, Magdalene will be holding a Mathematics Open Day on Saturday 9 May 2026.

Prospective students, parents and supporters are invited to meet a Mathematics Fellow and current undergraduates for an informal opportunity to ask questions about studying Mathematics at Magdalene and the admissions process.

Programme

The programme for the day will be as follows:

• 9.30 am – 1.00 pm: Student Ambassador-led Tours
  College Tours will take place, leaving from the Porters’ Lodge on Magdalene Street every 30 minutes.
• 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Mathematics at Magdalene Admission Talk
  Mathematics at Magdalene Admission Talk in Benson Hall with Fellow in Mathematics Dr Maria-Romina Ivan.
• 11:00 am – 1:15 pm: Brunch
  The College cafeteria, Ramsay Hall, will be open for those wishing to purchase brunch.
• 1:15 pm: Faculty of Mathematics
  Student Ambassadors will be on hand to walk attendees over to the Faculty of Mathematics, departing from the Porters’ Lodge.
