The Irish Pope: Paul Cullen, 1803-1878
The 2025 Parnell Lecture in Irish Studies.
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Parnell Lecture will be delivered by Professor Colin Barr, Professor of Modern Irish History and the Thomas Moore and Judy Livingston Director of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
Professor Barr will present a lecture entitled, The Irish Pope: Paul Cullen, 1803–1878.
This promises to be a compelling exploration of one of the most influential figures in nineteenth-century Irish Catholicism.
The lecture will be followed by a Wine Reception.
The lecture is free and all are welcome.

For those who are unable to attend in person, the lecture will be live-streamed.
