Dr MacKenzie is a Fellow Commoner and Director of Studies in Land Economy at Magdalene.
Dr MacKenzie is member of the Faculty of Law. Her research is in international environmental law, biodiversity, forest law, land use and public international law.
She also holds judicial office and is a Governing Master of the Bench of Inner Temple (Inn of Court for barristers) and a UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner.
Dr MacKenzie teaches and supervises research on the Tripos and on postgraduate programs. She has served as Chairman of the University Board of Scrutiny and Chairman of Examiners for a number of postgraduate degrees.
Dr MacKenzie holds visiting appointments at a number of other universities. She has served as Dean of Degrees of Green Templeton College Oxford, Acting Dean of Degrees of University College, Oxford and Chairman of Examiners for the Oxford Masters in Diplomatic Studies.
Formerly employed by the United Nations, World Bank and Asian Development Bank, She has worked throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. She currently advises on the development of law schools throughout the Middle East.
