Application Support Programme for BME Students in STEM
Magdalene College and Target Oxbridge are proud to announce a programme of webinars in the autumn of 2020 to encourage and support applicants from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds interested in STEM subjects. The programme is aimed at students in Years 11-13, especially those who are preparing their university applications in the autumn of 2020.
Each webinar will feature a 1 hour subject lecture from a Fellow of the College meant to inspire sixth-formers to consider careers in STEM, followed by a 30 min Q&A session where participants will have a chance to ask questions about every aspect of applying to Cambridge and other competitive universities in STEM subjects. Our first webinar, on September 24, will feature Profesor Franklin Aigbirhio, Senior Research Fellow at Magdalene College, and a passionate advocate of BME students at Cambridge.
