Year 12 Residential

Magdalene College
The Magdalene residential is a fantastic opportunity for Year 12 students to experience living and studying at university.

Each year Magdalene hosts a free three-day two-night residential for Year 12 (or equivalent) state school students in our link areas of North and West Wales and Merseyside.

Participants spend three days living at Magdalene and will participate in lectures, seminars, workshops and practical sessions led by Cambridge academics, as well as spending time with current undergraduate students.

Applicants should be interested in subjects related to Cambridge courses. The residential will give an overview of the subject range available at Cambridge and is a great opportunity to see how subjects are interrelated and crossover, it also allows attendees to investigate a new subject that they may not have considered before.

Participants will spend three days living in Magdalene and learning like a Cambridge student. Attendees will participate in lectures, seminars, workshops and practical sessions led by Cambridge academics, as well as spending time with current students.

Cost

The residential is free to attend. Attendees will be provided with accommodation and food for the duration of the residential alongside all academic sessions.

References

Applications will require the support of a current teacher who will be contacted after the application has been submitted.

If successful applicants are required to miss school we will also require signed permission from the school and parent/guardian.

Applying

Applications are now closed.

Please answer all questions honestly and in as much detail as possible.
