Blessed simplicity and harmonious complexity: The prophetic vision of Raimon Panikkar

A celebration of the life and work of Raimon Panikkar, celebrating the centenary of his birth and launching the English version of his Opera Omnia.

Raimon Panikkar, son of a Spanish mother and an Indian father, lived in the midst of many cultures and religions, from India to California. With work that ranges from the celebrated The Unknown Christ of Hinduism to the magnificent collection of Vedic literature, he remains one of the most prolific and influential theologians of our age.

This event will be a celebration of the life and work of Raimon Panikkar and will include the introduction of his Opera Omnia, feature the newly collected edition of Panikkar’s work by editor Milena Pavan and show the short film ‘La Mia Vita’ (My Life), one of the last interviews Panikkar gave before his death.

There will be contributions by Dr Rowan Williams, Master of Magdalene, and by Prof Mario Aguilar, Professor of Divinity at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
