Arts and Humanities Essay Competition Webinar: Planning and Researching

Magdalene College is delighted to announce a brand-new Arts and Humanities Essay Competition for 2023.

The competition is open to students attending state-maintained schools in the UK, and who are in their penultimate year of education.

Essay Planning and Researching Webinar

The Schools Liaison Officer will lead an interactive webinar for students in Year 12 (S5 in Scotland, Year 13 in Northern Ireland, or equivalent) who are entering the Magdalene College Arts and Humanities Essay Competition.

The focus of the session will be ‘Planning and Researching’. The session will cover:

• Methods and resources for academic research.
• Strategies for the effective planning of an extended piece of academic work.
• Developing a creative approach to answering the essay question.

Registration

The session will take place on Zoom Webinar. The webinar is free, but registration is required.
