The Master and Fellows are delighted to invite Buckingham Society members and their guests to our annual Buckingham Society Luncheon, taking place on Saturday 1 June 2019, from 12.30am - 5.00pm.

Membership of the Buckingham Society is open to those who have generously pledged a legacy to Magdalene. Invitations have been sent to all society members, If you have made a legacy to Magdalene and have not notified the College or have not received your invitation, please let us know so we can add you to the list of Buckingham Society members and ensure that you receive future invites.

Luncheon Programme

The programme for the day will be:

12.30pm: Drinks Reception in the Master’s Garden
1.00pm: Lunch in Hall
3.00 - 4.30pm: Visits to Kettle’s Yard or visit to the Pepys Library
3.00 - 4.30pm: Tea and coffee in the Master's Garden

We are pleased to offer Members the opportunity to visit Kettle’s Yard gallery. We have arranged for three tours, at 3.10pm, 3.20pm and 3.30pm, each of which has a limit of 14 people. Places on each tour will be allocated randomly. In addition, Magdalene’s Pepys Library will be opened especially for Members and their guests to visit. Throughout the afternoon we will be serving tea, coffee and cakes in the Master’s Garden.

We kindly request that those wishing to attend please complete the online registration form by Friday 17 May, or alternatively contact the Alumni and Development Office on 01223 332104 or email events@magd.cam.ac.uk to register.

Membership of the Buckingham Society

The Buckingham Society is named in honour of the Buckingham family, the College’s principal benefactors in the 15th century. Membership of the Buckingham Society is open to those who have generously pledged to leave a legacy to the College. The Luncheon is our way of thanking Members for choosing to support Magdalene in this manner.
