Buckingham Society Lunch 2022
The Master and Fellows are delighted to invite members of the Buckingham Society and their guests to attend this year’s Buckingham Society Luncheon on Saturday 28 May from 12.30pm-4.00pm here at Magdalene.
As you know, membership of the Buckingham Society is open to those Members who have generously pledged a legacy to Magdalene, and has been named in honour of the Buckingham family, who were the College’s principal benefactors in the 15th century. This event is our way of thanking you for choosing to support Magdalene in this manner.
The programme for the day will be as follows:
12.30pm: Drinks Reception in the Master’s Garden
1.00pm: Lunch in Hall
3.00pm – 4.00pm: Opportunity to visit the Pepys Library and the Old Library
We are sorry that we will not be able to offer tours of the New Library on this occasion as we are in the middle of examinations at this time and the Senior Tutor has asked that students are left to study undisturbed. We are pleased however that Magdalene’s Pepys Library and the Old Library (opposite Chapel) will be opened especially for Members and their guests to visit should they wish.
