Application for Graduation to an MA or Higher Degree
The following dates in 2021 have been announced by the University, at which it is anticipated that Magdalene postgraduates who have recently been approved for their degrees may graduate:
Saturday 30 January 2021, Saturday 27 February 2021, Saturday 1 May 2021 and Saturday 22 May 2021 (only in-absence graduation will be available on these dates).
Friday 23 July 2021, Friday 22 October 2021 and Saturday 27 November 2021 (we expect that in-absence graduation will be available at all of these, and hope that in-person graduation may be possible at all of these too, provided that the public health situation allows).
Additionally, two special dates - Friday 30 July 2021 and Friday 17 September 2021 - have been assigned to enable the cohort of Magdalene postgraduates who, because of the Covid-19 crisis have been unable to graduate, or had to graduate in absence, in 2020, to celebrate their degrees in person, again provided that the public health situation allows. The University and the Colleges are seeking to offer a ceremony in the Senate-House that will be as close as possible to the usual in-person graduation; the aim is to make it possible for College cohorts to reunite in their College and to process together to the Senate-House in academic dress, where those still to graduate will have their degrees conferred and those who have graduated in absence will have their degrees celebrated in a similar way.
More information on these events, and details of how to register for them, will be posted on the website in due course.
