Library Book Request and Collect
Request and Collect will be available until Friday 18 December. Please ensure that you plan ahead as books will not be accessible between Friday 18 December and Tuesday 19 January.
This service will enable you to request to borrow Magdalene College Library book(s), please complete the form below.
The ‘Request and Collect’ service is for current Magdalene students, Fellows and staff that are resident in, or working in, College, or in student accommodation in Cambridge.
You can request up to 5 books per day.
You can have up to 10 College Library items on loan at once.
The books will be fetched by staff and issued to your account. Once the books are retrieved, you will receive a confirmation email which includes information about where and when you can collect your books, this will normally be from Ramsay Hall (8am to 12pm). All books will be re-shelved to make them available to others if they have not been collected within 2 days of being notified.
Requests may take up to 48 hours to become available. Items requested after 4pm on a Friday may not be available until Monday.
Please note that books will be placed in bags with your initials and e-mail address on for identification. Please do not collect anyone else’s books unless you have their permission.

Please check in iDiscover that the item you want is available and not already on loan. If it is on loan then please request the book via iDiscover (term time only) and not via this service.
For each item you will need to provide the
- Classmark (as it appears on iDiscover)
- Barcode
- Title
- Author
