Bank Account Change
We are grateful to Members for their ongoing support of Magdalene.
Members making a regular gift by Standing Order or Direct Debit please note that the College has recently changed its account from Barclays Bank to Lloyds Bank. Donors need to take no action at this stage, as regular donations will be transferred to our new account automatically.
The College’s Governing Body took the decision to change from Barclays to Lloyds following the UK Government reforms regarding ring fencing of day-to-day banking services. The new rules mean large UK banks must separate personal banking services such as current and savings accounts, from other parts of their business such as wholesale and investment banking. This provided an ideal opportunity for the College to review its banking procedures.
