Dr Brown is Director of Academic Publishing at Cambridge University Press. He read English at Magdalene from 1967-70 and returned as a research student from 1972-76.
Though principally involved now in the publishing of other scholars works, he also writes on George Eliot, Bulwer Lytton, and textual bibliography.
