We extend a warm welcome to members of the public to join Magdalene Members and staff in our Chapel for services.

We look forward to welcoming you, whatever your tradition, denomination or beliefs.

The Chapel is a welcoming community offering space, worship and events open to all of any faith or none.

Sundays

Holy Communion
9am, 27 April – 15 June
Simple service followed by a free breakfast.

Choral Evensong
6pm, 4 May – 15 June
Traditional service with glorious music from the Choir and thoughtful sermons from a range of preachers; followed by drinks. N.B. 15 June at St Giles’ Church, 100 yards from Magdalene.

Morning Prayer
Tuesday to Friday in Term, 8.30am
25 minutes of prayer with Scripture readings.

Choral Evensong
Thursdays, 6.15pm, 8 May – 19 June (except 15 May)
A beautiful Choral service with prayers (no sermon)

Candlelit Compline
Wednesday 7 May, 9.30pm
Ancient plainchant sung in the dark; then port and hot chocolate

Special Services

College Communion and Chapel Curry
Wednesday 14 May, 6.15-7.15pm
All denominations welcome; followed by a curry feast in Hall 7.30pm

A C Benson 100th Anniversary Evensong and walk
Thursday 22 May, 4pm and 6.15pm
4pm walk to the grave in Ascension Burial Ground, followed by cake, before the service with Benson’s original ‘Land of Hope and Glory’

Thursday 29 May 8.30am Choral Matins in the Fellows’ Garden
6.15pm Festal Choral Evensong in Chapel

Commemoration of Benefactors
Sunday 8 June, 6pm
The annual thanksgiving for our founders and past benefactors

Farewell Evensong

With music chosen by departing Choir members.

Friday 4 July, 12.15pm, repeated at 12.45pm
