Magdalene Music Society: A Season of Inspiring Performances

Magdalene Music Society is thrilled to announce its Michaelmas 2024 Recital Series, offering a rich and diverse programme of weekly concerts every Monday at 8:00pm in Benson Hall.

This term, the Society welcomes the College community and music lovers from across Cambridge to enjoy performances ranging from jazz jams to classical recitals, all featuring talented students and musicians from across the University. With free entry, it's a perfect opportunity to unwind and experience live music in one of Magdalene's most charming spaces.

A jazz jam session kick starts this year, where new students can meet the MMS team, and get to know other music enthusiasts!

MMS President Ed explores composers including Enescu and Bozza.

Fresher’s Recital
Come and hear an array of talent from our first years, from voices to harpsichord.

Piano Recital - Sohan Kalirai
St John’s third year music student Sohan performs a range of works old and new.

Double Bass Recital - Annabel Beniston
Third year Annabel comes down from Murray Edwards to present a varied program including Misek.

18 November
Trumpet Recital - Claudio Gaete
After last year's triumph, second year architecture student Claudio returns for another recital.

25 November
Organ Recital - Jay Zheng
Senior Organ Scholar Jay rounds off the term with an all-Bach recital.
