Projects for Schools

The Web based Magdalene College English Classroom is designed to support schools as they encourage active reading and creative writing in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13.

The project runs until May 2006 .

Access to the site will be by secure password - available only to registered schools. The site will offer a poem or prose passage each week for students to look at: a range of questions, exercises and suggestions will be provided. Links will be available to biographical details of writers, glossary of technical terms, suggestions for further reading etc. Students will be encouraged to e-mail their ideas to us.

Writing Workshops

During 2005-2006, Magdalene's Writers-in-Residence will be available to run workshops in schools and colleges in the local area or to invite pupils (accompanied by teachers) to attend one of our workshops in College. Details will be available from 1st March 2005 on this page or direct to schools which join our e-mailing list.
