This section explains the way in which the College is governed and how decisions are made. It gives information on the legal status of the College, explains which individual member of the College or group are responsible for particular functions, and how they fit into the overall organisation. Information from committee minutes may in some instances be exempt from disclosure where it contains personal information, or information that could damage the commercial interests of the College.
Legal framework
The Governing Body
The Governing Body consists of the Master and Official and Professorial Fellows. It is the overall authority in the College and governs the College in accordance with the Statutes (1998). It has power to amend the Statutes, subject to the approval of the University and the Privy Council. It meets throughout the year. The Master chairs the Governing Body and other principal College committees to ensure continuity across the government of the College. The principal officers of the College include the Master, the President, the Senior Bursar, the Senior Tutor, the Fellow for Development, the Dean, the Chaplain, the Admissions Tutor and the Graduate Tutor.
The Governing Body is concerned with the strategic position of the College, its good government, the promotion of the College’s interests, and the maintenance and improvement of education and learning.
Student representatives are invited to attend the unreserved business of the Governing Body and attend other College committees.

How the institution is organised
College Committees
There are a range of committees within the College, each dealing with the detail of specific areas of the College's operation. The principal committees include Finance and General Purposes, Academic, Fellowship, Development, and Investment. A number of committees include student representatives.

The responsibility for teaching Graduate students lies with the relevant faculties or departments of the University. Further advice may be obtained from the Graduate Tutor.
