Magdalene is ideally located, offering easy access to everything you need. Sainsbury’s on Sidney Street is just a five-minute walk, while Aldi on Histon Road is around ten minutes away, making grocery shopping quick and convenient.
The area surrounding Magdalene is home to a variety of cafés, restaurants, bars and pubs, as well as a gym, a bike shop, and several other retail outlets. Many of these are located in the College’s own Quayside development or in other College-owned buildings along Magdalene Street and Bridge Street.
Right across from the main entrance, the University Newsagents stocks snacks, drinks, magazines, and other essentials, making it a convenient stop for day-to-day needs.
For green space, Jesus Green is just a minute's walk away, offering open parkland, public tennis courts, and the Jesus Green Lido, one of Europe’s largest outdoor swimming pools.
Just across the road, Kettle’s Yard, one of Cambridge’s flagship museums, provides a peaceful space to explore art or simply relax with a book. Nearby, the Museum of Cambridge offers insight into the city’s rich history.

Magdalene also offers excellent on-site facilities, including:

Transport Links
Magdalene has excellent transport connections. The College is close to the city ring road and offers easy access to the M11. Several bus stops are located nearby, including one serving the X5 coach service to Oxford.
