Accommodation is provided for many graduates, with priority being given to those graduates new to Cambridge who are guaranteed accommodation if their place is confirmed by 10 September 2012. Most third year graduates, and many second years, can also be accommodated, although not necessarily within the College walls.
The vast majority of graduate rooms are linked to the Cambridge Local Area Network, giving cheap and fast access to the internet, e-mail, the Public Workstation Facility and other University Departmental networks via the high speed University server. As members of the University, students have access to the Internet in both College and University facilities.
The accommodation varies from the medieval or eighteenth-century to the modern, and normally comprises a study bedroom (there is no sharing of rooms although bathrooms and kitchens may be shared) some located within the College itself, some in shared houses within a few minutes' walk across the College grounds. There is only a very limited amount of married accommodation and prospective graduates thinking of coming to Cambridge with a family are advised to discuss their requirements with the Tutor for Graduate Admissions well in advance.
